Note: When updating Daggerfall Unity in future, unzip to a new folder matching new folder version. It is recommended to unzip into a folder matching the version downloaded. Unzip your download somewhere like C:\Games\Daggerfall Unity\0.13.5. When downloading for Windows, it is highly recommended to use the 64-bit version unless you have a very old PC that does not support 64-bit. Downloads are below the Assets foldout as shown.
If you haven’t already, go to the Releases page and download latest version of Daggerfall Unity for your platform. Visit the Steam page below and install Daggerfall like you would any other Steam game. Alternatively use the DaggerfallGameFiles method for a curated copy of game files compatible on all platforms. You’ll just need to copy over the files installed by Steam to your platform of choice after step 1. These steps are for Windows only but you can adapt to another platform. Not only is the classic release on Steam now patched for a better experience, it’s a free and convenient way to get the game files needed to run Daggerfall Unity. This is great news for Daggerfall players of all preferences. Literally 1000's of files.The Steam release of Daggerfall has been updated and is now compatible with Daggerfall Unity “out of the box”.
Also it had found every pdf on my machine, many years of collections of tutorials and lesson and hundred of downloaded books were all unusable.
When I did try the Doxillion dialog wanted to open it.it, the windows dialog asking for a program to open it but I had uninstalled it already and nothing opened it. So I did it and AVG did not detect this bugger at all because it let this virus disable my ransomware protection which was enabled and it changed all my files to something other than pdf but they still had the same extension (pdf) but I could not open the file. I was downloading a pdf file and a dialog popped up and said I needed to download Doxillion file converter. My question is how do I convert my thousands of files back to real pdf files. Doxillion converted my files to non pdf files.
